So feared that the wife of Kordax, Cora, was forced to flee the city. Little did the inhabitants of Poseidonis know however, Kordax's son laid in her womb. Scared and unsure who to turn to, Cora turned to the ancient aquatic titan Tethys.

Tethys creates a pact with Cora, claiming that the creatures of the sea will forever guide and protect her family, as the titans touched the belly of Cora. A blue glow emanated afterwards, and Cora could feel something different: she was starting to feel hope for the survival of her son. Little did she know was that was she felt was more than that.

Cora dies giving birth to Kordax's son, his heir, Orin as was the price of making the deal with Tethys. But just as the titan Tethys promised her, the very ocean protected Orin as the baby grew up. The sea creatures all around him, welcomed him as though he was their own. He had an unnatural bond with the creatures of the sea never before seen in Atlantis. When Orin grew to manhood, word spread across the waters about an Atlantean with blonde hair.

Journey to Atlantis

Orin traveled to Atlantis, finding the city of Poseidonis. He was not met with open arms, as the people immediately tried to kill him: for fear of what him and the Curse of Kordax would bring upon them. Upon his arrival a large Kraken attacked the city, and the citizens blamed Orin's arrival for their misfortune. However, this thought quickly faded away when Orin slained the Kraken with his bare hands.

From that day forth, Orin was a hero among the Atlantean people. However, that isn't to say that everyone was thrilled. Some still remain loyal to Poseidon and the other Gods of the Sea and most importantly...Poseidon's decree about the descendants of Kordax.

Differences From Mainstream Continuity

The biggest noticeable change from Mainstream comics is his origin. In the Mainstream comics, Kordax is actually Aquaman's evil ancestor whereas in the Ultimate DC RPG he is Orin's father. Like Kordax, Cora too is changed in UDC. In the Mainstream comics she is actually the mother of Kordax, whereas in UDC she is his wife and Orin's mother. The Curse of Kordax itself is an entirely different story as well as to Aquaman's origin and blonde hair. In UDC it is an unknown curse bestowed by Poseidon, whereas in Mainstream comics it is merely a fear the citizens of Atlantis have after Kordax is banished from Poseidonis. Lastly, Aquaman is never banished and left to die because he wears the Curse of Kordax; he is already an outcast before he is even born.

The other noticeable differences is how he obtains his powers. In the Mainstream comics he is born with them by being a descendant of Kordax who too could telepathically communicate with the creatures of the sea. Whereas in UDC, that power is bestowed upon him as a gift from the titan Tethys as she promises Cora that the seas will forever watch over him.

Lastly, in Mainstream comics Aquaman has a relationship with a Lighthouse Keeper by the name of Tom Curry. The man somewhat raises Aquaman in his teen years and helps him learn the english language. In UDC, that is not the case. By the time Orin is already a grown man, he has yet to cross paths with Tom Curry. Hence he does not have his alias Arthur Curry.

Season 1.0 - played by trustyside-kick

At the start of the Season Orin finds himself in Poseidonis for a good while after he had already slained the Kraken. He is not welcomed by all as a hero, as it is obvious when he is called upon by the Atlantean Council. A member of the Council by the name of Daus accusses Orin of being a bad omen in the city and calls for his banishment, but the leader of the Council Nuidis Vulko argues against such actions. But, only able to help his newfound friend so much, Vulko ends up sending Orin to the dungeons to await the Council's final decision. During this time, Vulko visits Orin frequently and they begin to form a friendship as they get to know one another. On the day that the Council summons Orin to tell him of their final decision, a Sea Serpent attacks the city which puts the meeting on halt.

After deeply wounding the Sea Serpent, it is called away by a mysterious being who is thought to be Nuliajuk by both Orin and Vulko. What Vulko doesn't tell Orin is that for a split second, he thought he saw his mother Cora. The Poseidians throw Orin a celebration in the Atlantean Palace and that same night Orin is briefly visited by Nuliajuk. Before she quickly departs, Orin detects something unusual and a hint of sadness to the Sea Witch when he calls her by her common name: Nuliajuk. After speaking with Vulko about a plan to travel to the city of Thierna Na Oge, the warrior Rodunn joins Orin--by Nuidis Vulko's request--on his quest to slay the Mother of all Sea Beasts. Rodunn and Orin are ambushed by Shakalite mages and sea creatures until the presence of Nuliajuk causes them to storm away. Rodunn himself flees for his life at the sight of the creature while Orin remains still, entranced by some unknown power that Nuliajuk seems to have over Orin.

Orin awakes in an unknown grotto, greeted by a woman who he finds out is his mother Cora. She reveals to him the truth about what happened in the past concerning her and the Titan Tethys. Cora's death was to hide the fact that the price of Tethys helping to take care of Orin meant Cora to be transformed into Nuliajuk personified. Cora then reveals to Orin that there was another factor to the deal made with the Sea Titan. Cora and Orin must aid the Titans in their revenge to destroy the Gods of Olympus. Once Poseidon and all the other gods and godlings of the ocean fall, their task will be done and the deal fulfilled. Orin refuses to be in league with both his mother and the Titans and swims to Poseidonis to save the city from destruction as Nuliajuk chases him to stop him.

As Orin makes it to Poseidonis the attack has already begun and the armies of Poseidonis do their best to fight back Nuliajuk's sea monsters. Rodunn regroups with Orin after apologizing for abandoning him in Thierna Na Oge and they battle the sea monsters together. When becoming overly confident and not paying attention however Rodunn is brutally attacked by a large beast which leads to his death. As Orin says goodbye to his fallen ally and friend the God Poseidon appears in the city to save it. After being injured by Nuliajuk, Poseidon is defenseless but Orin kills Nuliajuk as she is about to slay Poseidon and saves the day. Afterwards Poseidon comes to terms with the faults he has made over the years and offers Orin the chance to be the first King of Poseidonis and Orin declines.

He swims away, giving his mother a proper burial and makes a pact to be the sea's protector: Aquaman.

Ultimate Atlantis

The Fate of Atlantis

The original Atlanteans are long dead. When they disobeyed their God Poseidon, his punishment was bringing the Great Flood upon them. Once the cradle of civilization, the Golden Age of Atlantis died beneath the waves.

Atlantis was then populated by marine life who, due to centuries of us poluting the waters, were mutated. One mutation was humanoid and highly evolved, and this spread, creating Atlanteans as they are now. They found Atlantis, and mastered the ancient technologies there. Life in Atlantis was akin to that of barbaric tribes.

The Unification of the Lost Cities

One of the Atlanteans whom called himself Kordax, brought the Atlanteans together. Uniting the savage tribes into one brought harmony amongst the diverse Atlanteans, but not to the Gods of the Sea. The sea nymphs acted as spies for Poseidon, taking a closer look at what had become of the lost civilization now that it had started to sprout and prosper once more.

Ideologies such as science, magic, and religion had truly began to improve within the colonies of Atlantis, starting with the new capital which was in Poseidon's name: Poseidonis. However, the Old God of the Sea did not take this news well, for the religions were starting to diversify and spread. The Gods whom which the Ancient Atlanteans used to worship, were now almost forgotten.

And so, Poseidon punished the Atlanteans once more. He rampaged through the city of Poseidonis, claiming their leader: the blonde haired Kordax. On that day, he laid a curse upon Kordax and all of his bloodline which would be distinguishable by their blonde hair. That very same day, Kordax was slain. Taken to the center of the city, tied up to one of the pillars, through Poseidon's demands the creatures of the sea ate at his flesh until Kordax died. All who witnessed this horrid day, forgot the ideologies Kordax and his campaign had brought forth. For they feared of his same punishment.

The Tribes of Atlantis

Poseidians - The Poseidians are the most diverse of the Atlantean tribes. Whereas most of the groups are composed of one particular group of people, the Poseidians welcome all who wish to receive spiritual enlightenment under their God Poseidon. Because of this, unlike their sister city Tritonis, Poseidonis wears no magical dome around it.

Tritonians - They inhabit the sister city of Poseidonis, Tritonis, and worship Poseidon's son Triton. There is a magical dome composed of water which is said to be a blessing from the God Triton for the loyalty of his followers. Through the mutations their people have endured with the pollution in the water they appear as half man half fish; aka merman and mermaids. The males' upper body resembles that of a human male, with the lower body resembling that of a shark. The females' upper body resembles that of a human female, with the lower body resembling that of a dolphin. Because of this, naturally the Tritonians have a bond with the Sharks and Dolphins of Atlantis.

Idylists - The Idylists refuse to accept any sort of religion at all. They have one major philosophical belief they hold dear and that is the practice of pacifism. They blame the other tribes of Atlantis for Atlantis' destruction because of their belief in Gods and prefer to be secluded from Society. While magic is viewed as a practice of evil, it does not stop the Idylists from practicing certain arts as well as being able to perform miracles of healing. They dwell in The Hidden Valley.

Shalakites - The blame for Atlantis' punishment all those years ago is placed upon the Shalakites' shoulders. It was this group who worshipped Nuliajuk, the mother of all sea beasts. However, the Shalakites were not the only group to turn away from praising Poseidon, but their practices were unacceptable to the other tribes. The Shalakites are the most hideous of all the Atlanteans. Some would say that their ancestors after the original Atlanteans were killed in the Great Flood are the very sea beasts in which Nuliajuk nurtured, mutated and changed from the pollution in the waters. They dwell in the magical city of Thierna Na Oge with their mastery over the dark arts.

Cities & Regions of Atlantis

Poseidonis - The city of Poseidonis is the most advanced, with some believing that their prosperity and success lies behind their continuing praise of the Sea God Poseidon. The buildings are air-tight sealed, with many windows and lights, allowing for a certain comfort of not being surrounded by water all of the time. But of course, that would depend on the household as not all Poseidonians are the same and enjoy the comfort of staying dry from time to time.

Tritonis - Sister city to Poseidonis, the city named after Poseidon's son Triton is protected by a magical dome composed of water which is said to be a blessing from the God Triton for the loyalty of his followers. From time to time, it is said that Triton's image can be seen floating just above the center of the magical dome when the tide changes; a sign of the Sea God smiling down upon his followers and granting them his protection.

The Hidden Valley - The Hidden Valley is just that: a hidden valley. There is but one entrance--one opening in the valley--which is shielded by an invisible, reflective wall cast by a spell. It is said "Only those with humble hearts may be granted passage". This reflective makes it so that the naked eye does not even notice the true entrance into the valley as though the wall is just another part of rock.

Thierna Na Oge - This magical city is said to be watched over by Nuliajuk, mother of all sea beasts, and is engulfed with her followers. Led by their magical leader who reigns supreme, Hagen, Thierna Na Oge is no place for the light hearted or weak. The most savage and barbaric of the cities of Atlantis, Thierna Na Oge is the one place none of the Gods of the Sea travel to. They have condemned it to wither away and die as punishment to the people's worship of Nuliajuk.

The Archangel

Currently played by trustyside-kick

Origin: (created by trustyside-kick)
Michael was an orphan and has been for as long as he can remember. He doesn't remember a thing about his parents, but for some strange reason, people keep saying he has his father's eyes. Oddly enough, Michael's eyes are a golden kind of pearl white. Later, when Michael would grow older, he would question them about this, but receive no further answers. It is as if that is all they can tell him about his father.

His mother, when became of age, was told to him to have been a spirited woman. Always keeping her faith in God, and living her life according to his plans, she was a parishioner of the local Cathedral. Her romantic life was not something commonly known, yet she gave birth to a child. Giving birth to him, however, she had died; Michael was sent to the orphanage.

He didn't stay in the orphanage for too long, however. By the time he was 9, he was finally accepted into an adoptive family: The Angelos. As a child, Michael would grow up according to his adoptive family's lifestyle which just so happened to be that of any common family around the area: devoted Catholics. He took up a interest in art, and one day his teacher glanced at one of his pieces of work one day and said "Wow, Michael Angelo, you're a real Michaelangelo" and the nickname stuck. It never bothered him, however. The nickname was something that he accepted easily.

Many Catholic schools around the country have different times when they allow a young man or woman to take the sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation is the conferral of sanctifying grace and the strengthening of the union between individual souls and God. Little did Michael know, that his Confirmation would become so much more than that. On the day of his Confirmation, he was given the duty of The Archangel.

It was not through a burning bush, or a voice to his head, it was through an angel. The morning day of his Confirmation on Sunday, Michael was visited by the Angel of Prophecy: Bath Kol. The angel told Michael about the task of The Archangel, but the young man was so much in shock about it, that he believed it to be a dream. But the moment that Michael went up to the altar later that afternoon before The Bishop to complete his sacrament of Confirmation, he felt something change in him; but he did not quite understand what.

He goes on, living life to pursue his passion for painting in hope to become a famous artist. Little does he know someone called God is going to have a different plan for him that is going to intervene with his daily life.

Powers/Abilities:
He is blessed by the Archangels of God's heavenly domain. On each day, he receives a different blessing (passive powers). He gains the wisdom of the Archangels in helping people in the situations each Archangel specializes in. He does not necessarily have to help someone in a situation fitting what each Archangel does best, but it most certainly helps his chances of affecting that person's life for the better.

He also carries a sword, but by default looks like just the hilt of a sword (for there is no blade). Unless defending the innocent, excluding his own life, his Angel-Fire sword shall not light up at all (when lit up, looks like a white-fiery blade).

He can tap into what is called The Archangel state. In this state, a flash of light comes down from the heavens, transforming him. Angel-Fire wings sprout from his back (looks like white fiery wings), allowing him flight. Also, when in this state, he can tap into his power over the elements (active powers) depending on the day because it depends on which Archangel.

His power over the elements are his "active powers". These abilities coincide with the Element of each Archangel. On certain days, depending on the Archangel, he can manipulate the elements of each Archangel, so long as that said element is in his presence. The elements can only be used in self defense and while in The Archangel state, except for water if the purpose is to heal the wounded.

However, on Tuesdays he is entirely powerless. While he is powerless he is not excused from serving God's will. He must still serve him, and as a man, and help affect someone's life for the better. This day of the week is when he is truly his own hero. Although this also makes him at his weakest and most vulnerable state.

On Sundays, he is at his most powerful.

The Archangels whom he is blessed by are the following:
Gabriel
Color of Aura - Indigo
Guards this day - Monday
Element - Water
Call on Gabriel when you feel like you've strayed from your souls path. He can help you find purpose again. If you are having trouble communicating with people Gabriel can assist you.

Raphael
Color of Aura - Green
Guards this day - Wednesday
Element - Air
Call on Raphael when you or a loved one is ill and in need of healing. He can also assist you in a time that you need new ideas or knowledge.

Zadkiel
Color of Aura - Blue
Guards this day - Thursday
Element - Fire
Invoke Zadkiel when you are feeling negative feeling towards yourself or another and need to forgive. He can assist you in realizing the burden of bearing grudges. He will also assist you with opening your mind to new ideas and concepts by releasing fear and karmic blockages.

Ariel
Color of Aura - Red
Guards this day - Friday
Element - Earth and air
Call on Ariel if you are in need of support to continue your life's journey or in need of confidence to stand up for your beliefs. If you are suffering from low energy and with the energy of the sun she will recharge you.

Uriel
Color of Aura - Silver
Guards this day - Saturday
Element - Earth
Call Uriel forth if you have trouble sleeping or are feeling tense or anxious. He is here to release any fears or worries you may have concerning a situation. He can give you the determination and asssist you to transform any aspect of your life.

Metatron
Colour of Aura - Gold
Guards this day - Sunday
Element - All elements
Call on Metatron if you are partaking in further spiritual growth or feel like you have lost your connection to the divine. Or to help you to cleanse your chakras.

Original Costume:

Current Costume:

Season One:
The Season begins with Michael walking past a church when a hobo comes up to him, surprisingly not asking for money, but rather asking him for guidance and help as though Michael was some priests of the church that the hobo had come to while Michael is on the way to meeting up with his girlfriend, Grace, for coffee. This is just to the first of many unexpected events that suddenly will change Michael for the rest of his life.

He then proceeds with his day where he meets up with Father Damian--a priest that he has developed a close relationship with--just like he would any other Monday. Something is different, for for some reason Michael's eyes have a certain purplish hue to them. Recalling the day it is, and Michael's own past, a theory comes to Father Damian's head. To test his curious theory, he punctures Michael's arm with a tac and proceeds to pour holy water over the small wound. To Michael's surprise the holy water heals his flesh as though he never got cut.

The next day, is like any other normal day for Michael, as it is Tuesday. What separates this routine Tuesday from the rest, is that as he and Grace are on the way to meet up with her friends early in the morning, the are approached by a mugger. Instead of getting physical to try to stop the mugger from robbing them, for reasons unknown to Michael, for some reason he tries to talk the stressed and troubled man instead. To his surprise, after listening to the tragedy of the man's life, Michael is able to help heal his heart, and the mugger looks up at Michael as though he was the Holy Father himself.

Instead of going to meet up with their friends, traumatized from the event, Grace and Michael instead spend the afternoon at his apartment. He shows him the beginning of his painting. As he shows her the sketches, she becomes disturbed by the images drawn from Michael's very own mind. It appears to her, as a man falling from a mountain, whereas to Michael it appears to be an angel who was pushed off the mountain.

Come Wednesday, and Michael is visited by the Angel of Prophecy: Bath Kol. This would be the second visit Michael has had from him, since he was the angel that appeared before him on the day of his Sacrament of Confirmation so long ago. It is this day, that Michael first transforms into The Archangel, learning about the purpose behind his powers and blessings. During his first transformation, he tries to stop a pimp from beating one of his hookers to death. After getting caught off guard and shot, Michael blasts away the pimp with a gust of wind out of no where. But it is too late. The hooker lying in his arms as he struggles to keep conscious, he helps be at peace before she finally passes away. After the hooker dies, Bath Kol appears before Michael, revealing that Michael can chant healing prayers to help heal wounds. When Michael demands for a reason that the angel did not tell him sooner, believing he could've saved the woman's life, Bath Kol replies that it was simply God's will that the she died this day.

He visits Father Damian, revealing all that Bath Kol has told him, as well as transforming before the priest. It is here and then, that Father Damian fully understands it all. He pulls out a book, containing gospels about angels that was never put in the Bible before. It is here, that the priest explains everything else that Bath Kol had not mentioned. Michael proceeds to test out his new abilities, when he is approached by Bath Kol. Seeking answers about his past, and why he was chosen to be The Archangel, Bath Kol tells him of his mother. She was angel, until she chose to defy God's will and fell in love with Michael's father. Bath Kol then tells Michael of the consequences he will have to face should he choose not to answer for his mother's sins by acting as God's instrument against evil.

While Michael learns the true meaning of his vision, being the fall of Lucifer, he gives it a new meaning. Father Damian calls his painting "A Leap of Faith" and the name sticks.

Several days later he is approached by agents of an agency known as S.T.R.I.K.E. who are aware that something is different between Michael and the average citizen. They reveal little to Michael, but make it obvious that their organization will be watching him closely for here on out.

Grace submits Michael's artwork to an Art Gallery tour Nation-wide starring his newest painting: A Leap of Faith. Michael and Grace travel to Chicago for the first part of the tour, where Michael means the famous Blue Blur with his girlfriend at the gallery. After giving an opening speech to Michael's portfolio of work, with the painting A Leap of Faith as the center of his speech, a thief by the name of Nightfox tries to steal the painting. The Blue Blur springs into action as does Michael. The two team up and defeat the female villain leaving his priceless and dear painting safe.

Season Two:
In Season Two, Michael has finally gotten a decent grasp of his powers. Most notably, is that he learned that when he transforms into the Archangel State, he has complete control over how his physical appearance transforms. Thus, he dons a more concealing guise which also has more of a superhero touch yet also retaining the classic and angelic look of the standard, ancient time Archangel transformation. He has studied through various mediums the archangels that watch over and bless him each day, learning of the powers he has for each occasion.

Michael starts to develop of lack of trust in the Angel of Prophecy, Bath Kol, as recently he has been quite a bit shady and mysterious in his words. He keeps warning Michael to take his role as The Archangel more seriously, but Michael sees no wrong in how he does the job. What bothers Michael the most, is that Bath Kol constantly keeps urging him to not get clung to any "Earthly possessions" obviously meaning both Grace and her younger brother Jake whom Michael has been giving an excessive amount of attention to in Bath Kol's opinion. Grace's family has moved away from Boston and moved into Lost Haven several hours away. Grace tells Michael how she worries for her 16 year old brother because he has had almost a complete change of attitude ever since the move, getting in trouble at school and hanging out with less then respectable friends. Michael makes note of it, but feels lost as he recalls the words of the Angel of Prophecy. He then learns that while in the Archangel State, he can meditate and pray to the angel that watches over him for each day, and consult them for guidance. When Michael makes contact with the archangel Uriel, the advice he gets is the same as Bath Kol and not what he was hoping to hear. Regardless of the warnings from both the Angel of Prophecy and the archangel that watches over him on that day, Michael proceeds to keeping a close watch on Jake.

After flying over to Lost Haven to check on his girlfriend's kid brother Jake, Michael spots a drug dealer getting attack by a group of ambushers. Interrupting and defeating the attackers, just before one of them flees from the scene they stab the drug dealer and Michael finds out that it was actually Jake. Realizing that Grace's fears are apparently coming true, Michael further believes that it was right for him to put such devotion to helping Jake in his apparent time of need. He sticks around waiting for the Lost Haven Police Squad and finds out that the group of attackers were followers of a recent cult that's been spreading across town led by a man called Madlove. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, Michael decides to follow Jake tomorrow as he goes to Sunday School to see if he will be able to follow and find the so-called Madlove cult leader.

Fortunately, Jake does skip Sunday School and goes to one of Madlove's church services and Michael follows. After a few moments of analyzing the situation, Michael finally crashed the ceremony, attacking their leader head-on. Little does Michael realize though that Madlove has several aces up his sleeve. Michael finds himself up against an advisory much stronger than himself and cannot defeat alone. As he is battling Madlove, an alien suicide ship crash lands in the nearby area their battle takes place, and Jake and a few other kids die in the explosion. Confirming that Jake is indeed dead, Michael suffers a mental breakdown, and as the police and media crew arrive at the scene unknowingly reveals his identity to the world as he took off his helmet when he found the young boy's body.

Michael retreats to his apartment in Boston where he sulks and listens to his answering machine. There are several missed calls and messages from Grace, her parents, and Father Damian. As Michael listens to the messages, stopping some of them as they play and fully listening to others, Grace calls his apartment and he answers. Before a fight over the phone truly can begin, Grace breaks up with Michael and doesn't return his numerous phone calls after she hangs up. Depressed and hurt more than he already was, Michael begins to lose his Faith. After speaking with the Archangel Metatron through meditation and prayer, Michael attempts to commit suicide as he no longer wishes to have the responsibility of The Archangel and Metatron refuses to take the power from him. He is stopped in his tracks by an unfamiliar voice and face, as the mysterious woman that speaks to Michael fills his heart what he had lost: his Faith.

Feeling himself and getting his head straight once more, Michael flies back to Lost Haven to aid in the Alien Invasion that has taken place. As he groups up with the other heroes that have come to fend off the alien invaders, he battles two members of the Dreadnaughts: Dew and Singe. After Singe is taken care of from another hero, Michael soon defeats Dew but finds himself battling the Admiral of the invading forces and mastermind behind the invasion: Keelan. After almost accepting defeat and in that defeat his death, Michael becomes overwhelmed with hatred and vengeance to kill the indirect killer responsible for Jake's death but is stopped as his powers are stripped from him temporarily and Bath Kol catches him before he plummets to the ground.

Days pass and Michael is visited by Icon for two reasons: the dedication ceremony for the dead of the invasion and the formation of a superhero team. Michael at first declines but tells the hero he will think about. The next day at the last second Michael makes an appearance at the dedication ceremony at Olympus Memorial Park in Lost Haven City and makes it known about the birth of the superhero team Icon talked to him about dubbed "The Guardians".

Aquaman

Currently played by trustyside-kick

Orin, also known as Arthur Curry, is the King of Atlantis and founding as well as long-standing member of the Justice League. However, he has found himself torn between his duties as a Hero and his duties as King from time to time. Gifted with abilities far surpassing that of the average Atlantean, Aquaman is a continual fighter for truth and justice. Superstrength, superspeed, superendurance, the ability to breathe underwater, a magic hand and telepathy are just a few of the abilities this hero possesses, topped only by his keen tactical and leadership skills.

Season I-IV - unplayed/NPC'ed
For the first four seasons of the game, Aquaman is unplayed and appears only as an NPC.

Season V - played by trustyside-kick
As far as the Aquaman mythos are concerned, comicbook continuity veers off from the end of Aquaman #13 (writer Veitch's 'Waterbearer Run').

Aquaman and Tempest return to Atlantis after defeating the Thirst, but not before a spell is placed on Mera. The two take on a quest for the Lady of the Lake so Orin can gain the power to save Mera. They succeed. Orin also makes a trip to reunite with his son Koryak.

Aquaman is warned by the Justice League that Darkseid is coming to Earth. He unites the Seven Lost Cities of Atlantis to build an army against Darkseid’s forces while Koryak learns a powerful summoning spell from the Lady of the Lake. When Darkseid attacks Washington DC without an army, Orin battles him. Tempest and Koryak buy Aquaman the time to cast the summoning spell which merges him with the Titan Pontus. Together, they fight Darkseid but are still defeated. Orin is sent to the underworld in death while Atlantis’ generals, believing Orin and Mera's trust in the surface world led to their King's death, betray Mera and put Ocean Master in power.

Aquaman makes a deal with Hades and returns to the oceans while, unaware of this, Tempest and Wonder Woman search for Orin in Tartarus. While fulfilling his end of the deal by searching for Hades’ Helmet of Invisibility, Orin is imprisoned by the spell of the Sirens; whom work for Triton, the Godling of Poseidon who made a deal with Hades to send Orin on a wild goose chase. Tempest and Wonder Woman learn Orin is alive and search the oceans with the help of Athena, Demeter, and Hermes. They find and free Aquaman.

In Atlantis, the generals that put Orm in power realize their mistake and overthrow him, restoring Mera to the throne even as Black Manta’s fleet successfully attacks the city. These events drive’s Orm mad and he rampages through the city, slaying Atlantean and non-Atlantean alike. Aquaman returns and defeats all of his enemies that had been attacking the city: Black Manta, Ocean Master, The Eel, and King Shark. During the battle, Triton kills Koryak, sending Orin into a rage. Poseidon himself has to save Triton from Aquaman.

When the fighting ends, Aquaman makes funeral arrangements for his son with Dr. Mid-Nite. The events bring Orin and Mera closer together and they decide to re-marry. Mera tells Orin she is pregnant and the reconstruction of Atlantis begins.

Season VI - played by trustyside-kick
Season VI starts for Aquaman after the wedding reception of Orin and Mera, at which he reveals the name of their unborn daughter. In honor of J'onn J'onnz and his daughter, they name their child Kym. Orin and Mera also ask for J'onn to be a sort of guardian figure for Kym and he agrees.

As the Season begins, Orin saves a ship from sinking off near the coast of Florida. What caused the damage in the first place were large chunks and glaciers of ice which floated down from the north. Such an occurrence being rare, Orin further investigates the matter beginning the theory that Global Warming has finally begun. Coincidentally, when the Sea Devils went into the Arctic Circle to rescue a team of people who survived an Oil Rig explosion, they were attacked and fired upon by unknown enemies. The odds being too close, Aquaman is called in by the Navy to check out the Arctic Circle and the Sea Devils follow. It is then revealed that a team of men lead by a new villain--The Marauder--are being paid to drill for oil from the Oil Fields in the Arctic Circle that the U.S. Government had been trying to keep secret by the organization known as O.G.R.E. (Ocean Going Research Exchange).

While this happens, the Atlantean sorcerer Arion the Immortal visits Queen Mera. He warns her of a prophecy about Orin's demise. Fearing he is too late, Arion rushes towards the Arctic, but is kidnapped by the very people he warned Mera about: The Church of the Deep. A religious group of nomads who broke off from Atlantis after it sank, they believed they had found their Lord and Saviour, Urlok, in the Arctic. And even as Orin battles The Marauder and his men, the Church saps all the magic from the physical realm, funneling it into a channeling spell to free Urlok from his icy Arctic prison. Yet it is not Urlok they free, but the villain Devilfish. Pretending to be the Church's god, Devilfish hunts down Aquaman, giving The Marauder a chance to escape with the oil he came for. Superman, Kyle Rayner, and Sinestro come to Orin's aid to help fight Devilfish. Orin uses Poseidon's trident to cast a spell, putting Devilfish into hibernation. Now free, Arion takes the villain to the Secret Sea to ask the Lady of the Lake if he can be imprisoned there for all eternity.

The re-emergence of the Dark Alliance causes for the heroes to unite against their attacks, and Orin is the first to stumble upon Cyborg Superman and his OMACs along with Brother Eye. The two fight, Orin realizing that the OMACs are actually people inside, which puts the fight to Cyborg Superman's favor. Fleeing towards the Gotham Harbor to escape into the sea and warn his fellow teammates about the OMACs, Orin is chased by Brother Eye's offensive countermeasures and badly wounded. A telepathic cry to Superman brings Orin to the new Arctic Base of Operations now called the Hall of Justice where other members of the Justice League, Teen Titans, and Outsiders remain.

Waking up in one of the Hall's quarters, Orin joins the battle as the Dark Alliance strikes the Justice League in their own base. Aquaman is attacked by the villain Prometheus who doses him with tranquilizers and poisonous darts. However Orin is still able to battle Killer Croc during the attack. The fight with the Alliance tears the Hall of Justice apart, and Aquaman regroups with the heroes as the villains retreat.

Tired of being yet again being several steps behind the villains, the heroes finally decide to take charge. Aquaman goes with Garth and the Teen Titans to hunt down the Alliance. They find one of their former hideouts, but Aquaman and the Titans are caught in a trap set by The Joker and Lex Luthor. Zachary Zatara is able to free the group, and the heroes battle the two villains. But Zatara is severely wounded, and the villains escape.

While Superboy flies Zatara to the nearest hospital, Robin drops Aquaman and Garth off at the nearest harbor in Metropolis. Aquaman heads for Gotham City to help with an OMAC attack, whereas Garth heads east to Khandaq, seeking the help of the majestic Black Adam. Orin rejoins the Justice League and they take down a merged Cyborg Superman and Amazo, with Aquaman delivering the winning blow.

But the fight continues when Brainiac, the mastermind behind the new Dark Alliance, arrives inhabiting the body of Doomsday. The battle continues and is joined by Black Adam and Garth, who brokered a pact between Atlantis and Khandaq to unite against the terrorist organization that had been plaguing Adam's nation. The efforts of Aquaman and the other heroes' seem futile until the Atom opens a Boom Tube and Superman forces Doomsday/Brainiac into it.

With the final battle over, Aquaman, Tempest, and Black Adam return to Atlantis and begin discussing the actions of the terrorist organization rampaging through Khandaq. After explaining to Black Adam, that it is evident that the same organization that has been terrorizing Khandaq is the very same organization that gave Orin trouble in the Arctic--O.G.R.E.--plans are set into motion.

After meeting with Black Adam, Aquaman ventures to Lex Luthor's funeral. Paying his respects, he meets with the newly appointed President of the United States, as well as the other leaders of the USA. Shortly after he attends the funeral of the hero Batman.

Shortly after Batmans' funeral, Aquaman returns to Atlantis and reveals what his purpose on the surface at Lex Luthor's funeral was. Atlantis will become an unincorporated territory of the US. The Monarchy of Atlantis will cease, and a new form of government would be formed mixed of that of a Constitutional Republic and Constitutional Monarchy. After telling the people of Atlantis that each city has their own choice whether or not to join Poseidonis in this, the cities of Tritonis and Thierna Na Oge are the only ones who decide to stand beside Poseidonis under Orin's rule, and Orin appoints Garth as the new King.

Season VII - played by trustyside-kick
The start of Season VII reveals a many great things: Kym is born, the birth of the United States province Atlantica is established, and the O.G.R.E. agents who were previously stationed in Khandaq were chased out.

Although Atlantica is in a time of success and advancement, the former King is troubled in his slumber. Having dreams and visions of horrid images and scenes of Death and Destruction, as well as the act of him finally killing his own half-brother, the Marine Marvel goes days with next to no sleep as well as a lack of understanding as to what the visions and dreams truly mean. The visions get to him so bad, that upon meeting up with the JLA at the Hall of Justice Orin hallucinates and attempts to drown and kill his longtime friend Superman after mistaking him to be the Ocean Master.

Attacks are made against several U.S. Naval ships and stations by what looks like Aquaman, all the while Orin himself is no where near the attacks at the time of the crime. The one time he witnesses the attack, he notices what looks to be his very ownself making the attacks with the creatures of the sea at the aid. This attack gets out of hand as Orin tries to stop it, and Kym--whom he brought with him simply for a quick swim--gets hospitalized when a torpedo strikes a ship, spilling oil and jet fuel everywhere.

Hal Jordan contacts Orin when it is discovered that the alien tyrant Mongul is roaming the South Pacific ocean region, cultivating and growing evolved Black Mercy plants. Leaving his family as they watch over his recovering daughter in the hospital, Orin meets up with Hal and Sinestro to take care of the Mongul threat.

Once the Mongul threat is over, as Orin returns to Atlantis, the United States Naval Fleet is in pursuit for his arrest. After a small confrontation between Garth, J'onn, and Hal--which was meant to give Orin time to escape by hidden means out of the city--Orin stops Garth in his tracks as he tries to defend his mentor and agrees to go into U.S. custody. Before the trial starts, J'onn goes to see Orin in the guise of Officer Perez and Orin finally reveals his unclear visions. When Lagoon Boy disrupts the trial, revealing that it was Ocean Master and the Marine Marauder II who really attacked the Naval bases and ships as well as hijacked the nuclear missiles, Orin is set free and goes in pursuit of his half-brother.

He journeys back to Atlantica, so that Garth can create a portal to send Orin to Atlan's realm. With the reluctant aid for his father, Orin is able to locate Orm and is teleported to his precise location. Losing control of himself, letting all of his inner pain feed his anger and rage, Orin almost kills his half-brother until he sees the fear in Orm's eyes. Stopping himself from delivering the final blow, a red ring finds Orin at the end of the battle, and takes him by control. Orin becomes the Red Lantern of Sector 2814, succumbing to its power as it feeds on his rage. Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner become aware of the mysterious and new red energy source, and with Black Canary who is also in possession of a mysterious power ring investigates an energy surge that occurs in the Atlantic Ocean. A battle ensues between Aquaman and the others and Orin almost completely defeats the two Green Lanterns until Black Canary intervenes with her blue ring of unknown origins which seems to be able to overcome the power and rage of the red ring. On Oa, the Guardians of the Universe ask about Aquaman's experience and show a great deal of fear for the red power ring as well as the knowledge of other rings traveling the universe.

Return to Earth, feeling like his old self back in the days of Aquaman and Aqualad, Orin returns to Atlantis. When Poseidonis is attacked by an odorless, purplish-black gas, stripping the surrounding water of oxygen molecules, Aquaman destroys the manta seacraft dispersing the gas. He is then ambushed by Black Manta, and challenged to hunt him down and find him if he wants what he took from him while the city was dealing with the surprise attack. As Orin awakes it is revealed that Mera and Kym were what Manta was referring to and so Aquaman travels to Mercy Reef where Manta awaits. After deciding not to play into Manta's demands of choosing who dies and who lives between his wife and daughter, Orin brings himself to the villains mercy and is brutally attacked by the villain's henchmen all the while choosing to not fight back. The day is saved when Kym's water elemental powers kick in and Manta escapes the turbulent and erratic scene. After making a safe return to Poseidonis, Orin makes a departure during a meeting with the Atlantean Council to investigate a matter in the west.

When The Eel makes a world-wide threat to flood the planet by use of a machine that enhances his telekinesis, Aquaman answers the call as does several active and reserve JLA members: Red Tornado, Firestorm, Tempest, Green Arrow, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, and Sinestro. After stopping the tidal waves that struck both the Arctic and Antarctic himself, with the other tidal waves being handled by the other heroes Aquaman makes way to an attack on The Eel himself, thus eventually cutting off the ties he has to the machine. After battling the villain in the ocean, Orin takes the battle to the surface where his telekinesis is less powerful and defeats The Eel.

Green Arrow (Ultimate)

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

The Flash (Ultimate)

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Captain Marvel (Ultimate)

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Booster Gold (Ultimate)

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Batman (Ultimate)

Played by Batman (fmr. Master Bruce)

In the Ultimate Universe, The Batman is perceived as a dangerous vigilante, operating in the corrupt Gotham City with considerably little support. His true identity - Bruce Wayne, Jr. - inherited his fortune at a later age, following the death of his wealthy uncle. His parents, while still murdered infront of him, were considered a middle-class family before their subsequent deaths. The decidedly everyman Wayne takes it upon himself to become a costumed vigilante after achieving the wealth that would help him form his arsenal. When his story begins, Wayne has been operating as Batman for nearly three years. In that time, we learn that he was partnered with the now-deceased John Grayson, who made up the void almost always filled by Commissioner Gordon in mainstream continuity. Gordon, a secretly corrupt Commissioner, orders a manhunt for Batman after mistakingly believing he murdered Grayson himself. This version of Bruce Wayne is the CEO of a technological empire, rather than an industrialist. Through his company, Wayne acquires the ultimate version of Oracle, now reinvented as an artificial intelligence computer that aides Batman when the vigilante requires information. This, and other substantial changes to continuity, make up a distinctly different version of Gotham City itself.

Personality

As Bruce Wayne, the character is generally portrayed as a shut-in, only appearing at public benefits and charitable causes when it suits his own personal needs. Moreso the modern celebrity socialite, Wayne is often seen with varying women, leading to sexual affairs and controversial exploits in the tabloids. Unlike the mainstream Bruce Wayne, Ultimate Wayne has no resistence to consuming alchohol, smoking, or use of drugs, in an effort to portray himself as publically amoral and selfish. When not in public, Wayne is seen as an obsessive compulsive, constantly working towards his vigilante activities and disregarding the nature of his double life. In terms of the character's standard brooding, this Wayne seems far more humanistic, being able to socially interact and attain friends with ease, such as Jason Todd.

Batman, on the other hand, is generally portrayed as a more violent force than his DC Universe counterpart. On several occassions, the character has been known to break criminals' bones, stab and impale limbs, and has once even threatened to dismember a drug dealer's fingers. While these traits are often questioned to be authentic to his true behavior, the character is also presented as a heroic idealist, believing Gotham City can become a better place through intimidation of it's criminals. Like the standard Batman, it is also established that he possesses a capacity for self-sacrifice, often putting himself in harm's way to save innocent lives.

Supporting Cast

Like the Batman of the DC Universe, his primary ally is a british aide named Alfred. But rather than a butler, the Alfred of the Ultimate Universe is portrayed as a buisness aide who lives with Wayne in order to keep strict maintaince over his daily activities. Named Alfred Jarvis, after the character's Pre-Crisis incarnation, Alfred is also considerably younger, said to be only close to ten years Bruce's senior. The character was introduced during Wayne's early stages of creating the Batman concept, hired by mistake to assist Bruce's recently deceased uncle. When Wayne reveals his intentions to help the people of Gotham City, Alfred decides to dedicate himself to the cause aswell.

Bigby Wolf (Ultimate)

Played by Johnny Blaze

Bane (Ultimate)

Played by Spike_x1

Batgirl (Ultimate)

Played by Syn (Mercenary)

Atom (Ultimate)

Played MST3k_4ever

Those That Walk The Line

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Ultimate Villains

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Ultimate Heroes

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

The New Ultimate DC RPG

There is no abstract available for this page revision.

Jason Todd

Currently unplayed

Jason Todd, the second Robin, originally died in combat with the Joker. Years later however, he re-emerged. This former side-kick of the Batman first debuted in the fourth season of the RPG, under the pen of trustyside-kick. Jason Todd's return was kept a secret from his Bat colleagues for a long time however, revealing himself for the first time to them in the sixth season. Currently suffering from a unique case of recurrent memory loss, Jason has been institutionalized in a mental hospital.

Seasons I-III - unplayed/deceased

Season IV - played by trustyside-kick
Back from the dead, without a clue as to how, Jason grows to have an unnatural hatred for the superhero community as he finds out that things have not gotten any better in their world, but worse. Seeing as the death of Batman's side-kick seemed to have little to no effect on Bruce cleaning up Gotham City, Jason's mind slipping into madness was starting to go into effect.

Jason roams Metropolis, and Booster Gold is his first target: a hero he deems unworthy to prance around as one. After setting the stage, Jason brutally beats and defeats the young hero.

After stumbling upon information of a certain incident between Superman and General Zod, when hacking into one of Babara Gordon's laptop's at her father's house, Jason's next target was as clear as day. Hurt beyond belief, that a symbol such as Superman did such a gruesome thing to stop the kryptonian villain did not set well with Jason.

However, Jason's plans to assassinate Superman were ruined, when discovered that the villain Parasite beat him to it.

Season V - played by trustyside-kick
Even though Jason had planned on taking Superman down, the actual aftermath of his death had an entirely different effect on Jason than one would expect. He enters a brief state of depression, to the point where he has nightmares of killing Superman and for some reason screaming as he awakes from them. After getting a hold of himself, he proceeds to deal with Gotham's Underworld because as time has passed since The Joker unleashed one of his Joker Bombs, scaring away most citizens from Gotham, the city starts to become more lively once again; and with the people come back The Mob. Plotting with his friend Paulie, he starts to set into motion Operation: Clease, where he plans to pose as a new Crimelord titled King. The operation goes south and in the process, Jason's only friend Paulie dies in an explosion. As the cops arrive they try to detain Jason and after he resists his arrest, severely injuring one of the cops in the process, the twisted and corrupt policemen send him to Arkham Asylum, making up a story of what happened, rather than send him to the local precinct jail.

During his stay at Arkham, Jason comes face to face with the Joker, and as the startled Clown recognizes the former Boy Wonder he tells hims about Alfed's death a few years ago while Jason was still "dead" as well. After being a threat to most of the inmates as Jason was very hostile, he is put into Solitary Confinement briefly where Dr. Arkham himself comes and analyzes Jason's personally from time to time. During these evaluations Jason briefly connects with the doctor as he tells him parts of his life story. Also during his stay, he yet again displays his bizarre nightmares and screams throughout the asylum and he comes across The Scarecrow who grows to be very curious about Jason and makes Jason one of his "test subjects" one night that he has certain guards incapacitated with the help of some other inmates. The fear induced interrogation goes badly however as Jason nearly dies from the experience with Crane's new experimental fear toxin. Wanting to know more about what Jason reveals about his previous plans to kill Superman, Scarecrow revives him before he fully dies with another experimental injection with laces of particles from Ra's Al Ghul's famous Lazarus Pits. The cross of the two chemicals in Jason's body mutate and cause side-effects that Jason will soon suffer from the rest of his life. He suffers terrible headaches, heartaches, and his blood pressure rises immensely as his adrenaline kicks to where his eyes cry blood. Making a pact with Scarecrow to exchange Superman's death for the cure to Jason's current predicament, Jason escapes from Arkham Asylum.

In order to plot for Superman's demise, Jason needs to get the necessary equipment for doing so. Returning to Gotham to deal with the new gangs once again, Jason starts to sabotage several deals and steal the equipment being dealt.

Season VI - played by trustyside-kick

Season VII - unplayed

Hawkman

Currently unplayed

In the days of ancient Egypt, Prince Khufu became engaged in a feud with his rival, the Egyptian priest Hath-Set. The priest eventually captures both Khufu and his consort Chay-Ara, and kills them. Millennia later, in 1940, Khufu is reincarnated as American archaeologist Carter Hall, and Chay-Ara as Shiera Saunders. After returning to this plane of existence yet again, Carter found himself at odds with the newest incarnation of Hawkgirl: Kendra Saunders. The couple always destined to be lovers, was not a couple anymore as the new Hawkgirl struggled with her grandmother's memories that were inside of her: conflicting with what thoughts and emotions towards Hawkman were her own, and which were from her grandmother who once loved him. After much time and effort however, the duo had finally grown attached and remain to be friends and just like the old days, a force to be reckoned with.

Seasons I-V - unplayed/NPC'ed
For the first five seasons of the game Hawkman is unplayed and appears only occassionally.

Season VI - played by trustyside-kick
As far as the Hawkman mythos are concerned, comicbook continuity veers off from the end of Hawkman's title before the Infinite Crisis Tie-In "The Rann/Thanagar War".

An event at the Stonechat Museum is called for when Speed Saunders comes back from another of his daring and marvelous adventures, stumbling across several pieces of War History ranging from several of the wars: specifically the Civil War, and World War II. Some of the most respected people in Southern American make the trip to St. Roch, Louisiana for this new addition to the War Exhibit largely because of the items from the Civil War.

The Atom is one of the few people who attend the extended War Exhibit and visits his long time friend Carter Hall. The evening seems to go perfectly well until Captain Nazi and a small group of Neo-Nazis he names to be The Fourth Reich crash to party; literally. After calling for aid from his JSA teammates, Jay Garrick is the first one to respond and show up at the Stonechat Museum. For a while he and Carter fend off Captain Nazi and the Fourth Reich while the Atom and Kendra (in civilian attire) help get the public safe from harm while taking out some of the members of the Fourth Reich as well. The rest of the members of the JSA all eventually get to St. Roch, Louisiana and the Nazis are defeated, however Captain Nazi flees the scene and with what he came for: so in essence he won.

It was revealed that Captain Nazi was after an antique Luger pistol from World War II that Speed Saunders recovered, and that was his one and only priority as he left his own men behind without a second thought. While questioning the captured members of the Fourth Reich, they all seem to lose their powers and it is unknown to everyone including themselves. Afterwards, they are taken into custody.

Season VII - played by trustyside-kick
With the Vegetative Disease Crisis occurring world-wide Carter is found in the southern parts of the continent Africa taking down Lion-Mane while Hawkgirl stops victims of "VD" from killing themselves. He is then contacted by Mister Terrific and brought into the Justice League's Hall of Justice base up in the Arctic to assemble two teams to counter Gorilla Grodd's plans. With the Rogues attacking Central City, Carter and his assembled team of ground forces take care of them while The Atom tries to get a locked position to help their cause in stopping Grodd's outbreak. Once the location of Dr. Sivana's underground base is discovered, Carter and the others go to Nevada to take the villain down to put a stop to Grodd's control. After defeating both a Captain 'Sivana' Marvel robot, and the famed Fawcett City villain Ibac with the aid of Captain Marvel, with the rest of the heroes Dr. Sivana is defeated.

Ultimate Aquaman

Currently played by trustyside-kick

Cora's Sacrifice

The curse that Poseidon bestowed upon Kordax and his bloodline became widely referred to as the Curse of Kordax.
