Ultimate Superman, a character created specifically for the Ultimate DC Universe RPG, is a variation on the iconic superhero of the DC Comics universe. Born on the planet Krypton to an alien race, young Kal-El was rocketed to Earth after a freak explosion destroyed both the planet and his kind. Found by an elderly couple named Jonathan and Martha Kent, the infant was raised to be Clark Kent, who grew up to become a reporter for the metropolitan newspaper, The Daily Planet. But as he grew to adolescence, he exhibited powers far beyond mortal men, and thusly dedicated his life to using his abilities for good as Superman. Key differences between the Ultimate Superman and his comic book counterpart lie within specific details of his origin, supporting cast, enemies, and even his trademark uniform, which has been simplified to become more organic in appearance.

As of now, Superman has been foreshadowed to be one of the many superheroes to become apart of what will be this universe's incarnation of The Justice League Of America, though it is unclear if he will take the position of leader, as the character is in the mainstream DCU.
