Since it's creation in late May 2007, originally GMed by
ElectroFlare, with AGMs
Cyrusbales and
Johnny Blaze, the
Create-A-Hero RPG quickly became one of the more popular RPGs around the RPG forum, but it's had it's set of ups and downs over the past year. One of those low-points being the constant switching and appointing of GMs from
ElectroFlare to
Cyrusbales to
Feature to
Eddie Brock Jr., and most recently
Spike_x1. However, in spite of this, the Create-A-Hero RPG has housed some posters greatest creative ideas, and brought forth a plethora of great heroes/villains from the minds of it's participants, the more famous ones being Hype RPG Award nominee for "Best Hero" The Blue Blur (played by
Byrd Man), Mantis (played by former Gamemaster
Eddie Brock Jr.), The Survivor (played by now current Gamemaster
Spike_x1), anti-hero Pulse (played by
Syn (Mercenary)), Ezekial (played by former AGM/GM
Cyrusbales) and Kensei (played by former AGM
Johnny Blaze), amongst many others.
Season One:
In it's first season, super-powered beings have begun to appear all over Earth, and have begun their transformations into the heroes (or villains) that they have been destined to become. It definately was more of an origins season than anything else, with few team-ups among heroes, but has introduced many elements to the CAH Universe as a whole, including the city of Lost Haven, and the mysterious metahuman-surveillance organization known only as STRIKE. The season lasted roughly about one year in real time, allowing for many a hero to arise, including Kensei, Mantis, Blue Blur, The Archangel, Icon, The Survivor, Pulse, Spirit of America, Electron, Asteroid-Man, Agnus Dei, Sharkman, the Scarab, and Blacklight. The villains have also had the fair share of recognizable characters including hero-killer Ezekial, mob-boss Franco Zano, teenage villain Bennie Farmer, mind-controlling lawyer Mind-Warp, serial killer Saydo, and the amateur bad-guy the Skunk.
Season Two:
With the second season just beginning, and the inclusion of a two-character allowance rule, who knows what new heroes will make their names known, and what new challenges the already established heroes must face. Will STRIKE will make their move against the metahuman populace? Or will the city of Lost Haven meet it's destruction from the villains that reside in it... or a force that is entirely new and unknown to this world? Only time will tell...
