One Universe Bio - Dick Grayson had a happy childhood in the circus as part of the Flying Grayson's trapeze act. He and his parents entertained audiences around the world. It's the reason Oliver Queen hired them for a private performance at a party being held in his mansion. But, as fate would have it, Bruce Banner would sneak into that party looking for Tony Stark's help in freeing him from his alter-ego. When the Hulk emerged, he rampaged through the mansion, bringing down the trapeze equipment while the elder Grayson's were still on them. Dick had to watch in horror as his parents fell to their deaths. Also attending the party, and seeing a kindred spirit, Bruce Wayne adopted Dick as his ward.

It doesn't take long for Bruce to bring Dick into the Bat-Family and begin training him. Dick took to crime-fighting right away, helping Batman, Spider-Man, and Jay Garrick defeat Doctor Octopus in his first outing as Robin. Now Dick tries to be a normal kid in the day, and the crime-fighting partner of the Bat and night.
