Here you may find a brief description of the major events that took place in Season's past.
Season I
Like most RPGs, the first season of the OU started off slowly, which the players still trying to get a feel for the landscape of the game. But most were already seasoned veterans of the other RPGs, so it did not take long for the OU to kick into high gear. The heroes first banded together at the party of Oliver Queen in Star City when the benefit was interrupted by the rampaging Hulk. Superman, Green Arrow, the Fantastic Four, and others battled the beast and eventually emerged victorious. Parting ways, but not before forging the first steps for future alliances, the heroes soon found themselves called into action once again.
Darkseid, a creature of pure power and evil and ruler of the planet Apokolips, came to Earth with his massive armies, bent on enslaving all of humanity. The heroes and even some villains battled the forces of the vile Darkseid, but for every inch they gained they seemed to lose five more. But Reed Richards, using the Ultimate Nullifier, was finally able to put an end to Darkseid and his fleet, saving the Earth from the dark god's tyranny. Though it came at a price as a group of heroes caught on one of Darkseid's ships was whisked away with the rest of the Apokoliptian warband. But, thanks to the efforts of their fellow heroes, they were rescued from Apokolips and the clutches of Darkseid.
All seemed well in the world until the psychotic Kryptonian, General Zod, escaped from his Phantom Zone prison and began to cut a path of destruction across America in search of Superman. Thanks to the inspirational help of Jay Garrick, Superman eventually met Zod in combat. The two powerhouses titanic battle was a terrifying display of power, but Superman and the Earth eventually won out when Zod was killed by Kryptonite radiation.
Season II
Hot on the heels of major events from the previous year, the heroes began to form the foundations for a team that would be able to respond to any threat the world should face. Though different views and egos initially made the formation of the team rocky (especially the debate whether to allow S.H.I.E.L.D. to have a hand in the group), the team eventually came together. And just in time, as the Earth faced annihilation at the hands of the cosmic monstrosity, Galactus.
After a titanic fight against The Devourer's Herald, Lobo, and a cosmically powered Red Skull that leveled a good portion of Gotham, the heroes were soon joined by the sole surviving Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, and the former Herald to Galactus, the Silver Surfer. After giving a portion of his Power Cosmic to Reed Richards to study, the Surfer, Hal Jordan, and Superman all traveled into space in hopes to slow Galactus down and buy their friends and allies more time to find a way to save the Earth. It did not take long for the heroes to find Galactus, and their struggle was brief as The Devourer left them all for dead as he continued his trek towards the Earth.
Touching down in Gotham City, Galactus was soon met with resistance by a veritable army of heroes, and a fleet of S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarriers. Galactus laid waste to the fleet, and the attacks of the heroes did nothing but annoy The Devourer. But then Galactus sensed something odd: a energy signal akin to the Power Cosmic was on the planet. The Devourer rescued Lobo, who was trapped in the Speed Force by the combined efforts of Jay Garrick and Barry Allen, and send his Herald to discover and retrieve the Power Cosmic energy source.
Lobo attacked the Baxter Building and the group of heroes who were tasked with defending Reed while he worked on a way to stop Galactus. All seemed lost as the cosmically powered Lobo was too much for the heroes, but the sudden return of the Man of Steel turned the tide. Their battle was fierce, but eventually Superman defeated Lobo, hurling him into the void of space.
Meanwhile, Reed had discovered how to stop Galactus, and used the Power Cosmic sample to create a device that was able to nullify Galactus' vast power. Outraged and humiliated, Galactus was forced to agree to leave the planet in peace, never to return, in exchange for having his power restored to him. Lacking a Herald, Hal Jordan agreed to fill the role left by Lobo for Galactus, becoming Parallax. And as he and his new master departed, the Surfer once more returned to the stars after parting ways with his new found allies.
The heroes were now left alone to sort through the rubble and begin the long process of rebuilding all that was lost.
