One Universe Bio - Hal Jordan was a former air force pilot turned cocky test pilot for Ferris Air. Recognized for his fearlessness, the ring of dying Green Lantern Abin Sur chose Hal as his replacement. Trained by Sinestro, Hal was instrumental in saving the last vestiges of the Corps after Galactus destroyed Oa. Hal then traveled to Earth to warn its heroes that Galactus was coming. After helping the heroes stop Galactus, and in the hope of protecting other planets from Oa's fate, Hal gives up his ring and becomes Galactus' newest herald: Parallax.
