Angel
Warren Worthington, a mutant gifted with a pair of wings, has held many names in his life. Avenging Angel. Angel. Death. Dark Angel. Archangel. He has joined and founded many teams. The X-Men. The Champions. The Defenders. X-Factor. It is no secret that superheroing is in this young mutant's heart. It is then, perhaps, no surprise that this hero has gone through more pain than most of his peers. But what defines Warren is not pain, but his perseverance, no matter what, both as a superhero and as Fortune 500 CEO of Worthington Industries, the family company.

Season I - played by Harlekin
The season starts for Angel with the "Bounty" story-arc. He opens the doors of his company to all those who seek shelter and then takes an even more pro-active approach when hearing of Dazzler's murder at the hand of Bullseye. Tracking down the killer together with Iceman, Angel comes to Hawkeye's aid, who is also fighting Bullseye, whom has teamed up with Deadpool. Unfortunately, the villains manage to escape.

Next, Angel find himself involved with Thor's battle with the Ifrit (see "Ifrit" arc) and becomes one of the founding members of a new group of Avengers. This affiliation brings him into conflict with HYDRA, the Abomination and the Ifrit again. Currently, he is romantically involved with dance instructor and 80's X-Men supporting cast member Stevie Hunter. Outside of these activities, Angel operates a programme that supports the family members of low-profile heroes such as the White Tiger (Kasper Cole), through, for example, employment at Worthington Industries.

Angel later meets with Brian Braddock (aka Captain Britain), the brother of his recently resurrected ex-girlfriend Betsy Braddock (aka Psylocke). In this meeting and a later one with Beast and another with Stacy X, Angel reveals his insecurities concerning the timing of his membership (in light of the events of M-Day).

The winged mutant manages to blow off a little steam with Beast and Iceman, travelling to Las Vegas and subduing the robotic Dragon Man. But just as Angel plans to leave the casino where the three heroes celebrated their victory, he catches a glimpse of purple hair.
